Lockdown Wellness Tip 2

Your metabolism slows down 90% after just 30 minutes of sitting!

So make sure you move your body regularly.

Many people spend even more time sitting, now that they’re working from home due to covid-19 restrictions.

If you don’t have a fancy watch or app timer, simply set an alarm on your phone to go off 30 minutes after you start your working day.

Every time is sounds, snooze it for 30 minutes, then

              • stand up
              • move
              • go get a glass of water
              • go to the bathroom
              • walk up and down the stairs
              • walk or run a lap of your garden
              • dance
              • do 20 sit ups
              • do 10 lunges
              • do 30 squats
              • do 1 or 2 rounds of sun salutations

Do anything that moves your body for 2 to 5 minutes.

Simply repeat all day long, to reap the benefits and get fitter too!

Think about this: Working an 8 hour day at the computer means you have the opportunity to take 16 exercise breaks a day. At 5 minutes each that’s a grand total of 80 minutes working out!

No need to go to the gym because you already worked out!

And after a full day’s work it’s important to separate your working day from your leisure time, especially if you’re working from home. And that takes us to tip # 3
